Jixue Wu was born on the 30 July 1973 in Heilongjiang Province of China.
In 1999, he graduated from the Composition Department-- Shanghai Conservatory of Music, with studied under Prof. Mingwu Yin, Xiaosheng Zhao and Guang Zhao.
In 2001, he studied under Prof. Martin Christopf Redel, Claus-steffen Mahnkopf and Peter Herrmann in Germany.
In 2003, he graduated from Detmold Conservatory of Music, and received the Master’s Degree.
In 2006, he graduated from Leipzig Conservatory of Music in Konzertexamen.
His compositions have performed in International Music Festival, for example; Montreal, Stuttgart, Detmold, Leipzig, Altenburg, Gera, Shanghai, Nanjing, Shenyang and so on. Since 2007, he has been a professor for Composition at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music.

His primary prizes:

1st Prize - “4th Composition Competition” Gera, Germany( 2004)
The Award -“Forum International des Jeunes Compositeurs” Montreal, Canada(1998)
The Award - “Nanjing Music Festival ” Nanjing, China(2007)
1st Prize -  6th International Composition Competition - Volos, Greece (2008), in the category of composition for orchestral ensemble and vocal music with accompaniment.
